Shelly Wynn, as well as all the other children of Applewood, woke up Tuesday morning and all the adults had disappeared. The kids discovered that they can do things, things that children - or anyone else for that matter - shouldn't be able to do. When the lights go out, they must use their new found powers to survive the things that go bump in the night. Who will see the next morning and who will be lost to the darkness?
